Priest Lake Marathon: 26.2 mile

Course Description

The Priest Lake marathon course takes runners primarily along dirt roads through the scenic Idaho Panhandle National Forest. Experience the cool shade of cedar and hemlock groves on gently undulating terrain, where you can focus on the scenery instead of your footwork.

For the marathoner looking to ditch some pavement without ditching their road shoes, look no further: you’ll be running primarily on packed forest roads with some pavement and a short rocky section.

This course is designed for any runner looking to step up to the marathon distance or who wants to experience a trail-like race on gentler terrain and with all the convenience of running in the front-country.

The GRIT Race Series

Priest Lake 50km is part of The GRIT North Idaho Trail Series. Register for and complete all of the series’ races to be eligible for cool finisher awards and bragging rights. Go Big!
